Start-up & Initial Services
Heinz Werner Dobbertin founds a company.
He plans to be a service provider in the field of safety data sheets.
Extensions to our portfolio
Although safety data sheets and related services still account for a large part of our daily business, the company has continued to evolve and has added further services in the field of chemical regulation to its portfolio.
Services related to the REACH regulation have been an integral part of CSB since 2007. In 2012, we also added services related to biocides and the BPR to our portfolio. Other services we offer include: toxicology, ERA, and ChemVerbotsV.
New Markets
Based in Krefeld, with locations in three countries and customers around the world
Our U.S. location was officially established in 2017. CRC US represents our interests in North America. In 2019, CSB acquired ReFaC Ltd. in the UK. The goal at the time was to manage Brexit effectively and expand our own capabilities.
Growing Team
Back in 1993, Heinz Werner Dobbertin was still a one-man operation; today, we are a team of about 25 employees.
In 2019, Lars Dobbertin officially took over as CEO. Rachel Green is Managing Director, focusing on the UK.
Location
It started in a home office; today, we have offices in three countries and on two continents
The home office quickly became too small, so the company moved to Düsseldorfer Straße in Krefeld.
For organizational reasons, CSB moved again in Germany in 2024, remaining in Krefeld but now to state-of-the-art offices on Dujardinstraße.
