UK Reach Deadline to be Extended

Defra (UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Health and Safety Executive) has published an update on UK REACH.

Details

Key messages for UK REACH:

• Government will consult on extending the deadlines for providing full registration data
• Government will engage with industry and other stakeholders to explore whether there is an opportunity to reduce the requirements for registrants to replicate existing EU REACH data
• It is proposed that a greater emphasis could be placed on understanding how chemicals are used in GB

Consultation will take place in 2022.
