Dangerous Goods Management
The classification of dangerous goods and consulting on dangerous goods issues has been one of our core services for more than 20 years.
The transport of dangerous goods is subject to specific rules for the different modes of transport (road, rail, sea and air) and is a sensitive issue with high relevance also for the public sector.
Among the most important individual regulations specific to the different modes of transport are
- European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) for road transport for many European and neighboring countries, as well as US DOT regulations for road transport in the USA
- Regulation concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by rail (RID) in rail transport
- International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) in international shipping
- European Agreement on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN) for inland waterway transport, with special agreements for the Rhine (ADNR) and Danube (ADN-D)
- Technical Instructions For The Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO-TI) in air transport, issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). These are adopted and expanded by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA-DGR).
In this complex subject, we attach great importance to providing our customers with sound advice and are happy to offer support in all matters relating to the classification of dangerous goods in accordance with the UN or the consequences of a classification.
Our employees receive regular training and are qualified as dangerous goods safety advisor. They can therefore assist you in all questions concerning road, rail and sea transport.
