Safety Data Sheets, GHS, CLP & REACH
The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is the central communication tool for the hazard communication of chemical products in the supply chain. The SDS provides all hazard- and safety-related information in a transparent and clear manner.
For example, the safety data sheet provides information on the Classifications & Labelling (C&L), safe use and risk management measures for workers/users and the environment. The hazard label takes up this important information and displays it in abbreviated form on the substance's packaging.
To harmonize the content of a SDS on a global scale, the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) was developed. GHS has been adopted into national law by a large number of countries worldwide, e.g. Europe (CLP-Regulation), USA (Hazard Communication Standard – HCS), Japan (JIS), Australia (WHS Act) and many more.
While GHS provides a robust framework for the Classification & Labelling of chemical products, there are still a lot of possible differences between SDSs for one and the same product, depending on the country the SDS is issued for. This is due to the possibility for deviations in the adopted scope of GHS and furthermore the constant development of GHS, which leads to different revision levels being implemented.
Whether you are a manufacturer,
formulator or distributor or if you develop completely new products
or just need a translation of
your current SDS into a
different language.
We are happy to prepare compliant safety data sheets according to your needs for 60 countries, incl. the entire EU, USA, most South American countries such as Brazil and Mexico, Canada, South Africa, Russia and most Asian countries including Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
